Hand Plated

Process

Three to four weeks from intake to launch.

  1. Week 1 · Step 1

    Intake and shot list

You fill in one document: menus, hours, the story, who is on the team, what the room is like. We turn it into a shot list and book the shoot.

  2. Weeks 1 to 2 · Step 2

    Shoot and build

Our media marketing partner shoots your room and your food. We build while the files come back, so the site is waiting for the photographs rather than the other way round.

  3. Week 3 · Step 3

    Review

You get a link and a way to look at any date you like, so a menu that starts next month can be checked before it does. Send changes in plain words. One round is included.

  4. Week 4 · Step 4

    Launch and handoff

We point your domain at the site, walk the launch checklist, and hand you one document that says what you have and how to ask for a change.

What you supply

All of it fits in one document, and none of it has to be written well. We do that part.

  • Your menus, as they currently read
  • Opening hours by service, and the days you close
  • The story of the room, in whatever form you have it
  • Your reservation platform and the account to connect it
  • Your domain, or the registrar login to point it
  • Someone who can approve the launch

Photographs come back 14 days after the shoot. Every photograph and clip we deliver is yours to use forever, anywhere, at no further cost, and it stays yours if you leave. We and our media marketing partner keep the right to show the work in our own portfolios.

After launch

A restaurant changes every week. The care plan is how the site keeps up without you learning a content system.

  • Menu and hours changes, sent in plain words and done for you
  • Hosting, the certificate and security updates
  • Studio hours each month for the things that are not a menu change
  • A performance report, so you can see what the site is doing
