Hand Plated is a studio in Jersey City, NJ. We build for upscale independent restaurants, and nothing else.
Why restaurants
Restaurants are photographed for a living and then handed a website that hides the photographs.
The people who run them are busy at exactly the hours a web project wants their attention.
So we made the work small: an intake, a shoot, one review, and a site that a phone loads before the reader has looked up.

Hand Plated is one of three studios under Obelra, alongside AuthorLuxe and BeautyWell. Each one builds for a single trade rather than for everybody.
We are in Jersey City, NJ, across the water from lower Manhattan. The photography is produced by our media marketing partner, who shoot the rooms and the food on both coasts.
